10 Points you should know about the “Blue Whale Challenge”

Nothing can be as dreadful as seeing your children loosing the path. A new fear has clinched the world’s teenager like an uncontrolled disease and they call it “Blue Whale Challenge”.

We will tell you in 10 Points about the whole conspiracy, from how it emerged to what we should do. So let’s get going….

  1. What is it?

The Blue Whale is an online challenge based game controlled by a group of manipulators targeting specially the teenagers. Spanning over 50 days this game demands challenges and tasks like waking up to odd hours, watching horror movies, self- harm to finally committing suicide on 50th day.

  1. Who’s behind it?

Philipp Budeikin aka Philip Lis, the mastermind of Blue Whale program, is a 21 years old Russian who has been held responsible and has been arrested by Russian Police for inciting 16 school girls to commit suicide by inviting them to take participate in the challenge.

  1. When it started?

Although Philipp was working on this idea for last 5 years, he himself and his teammates started this terror in 2013 with a clear mindset to attract the children by adding them to an online social group “VK” where they posted scary videos.

Targets were those children who were highly vulnerable to manipulations, mostly being teenagers as they are easy to mould, whom they can incite to take participation and commit suicide.

  1. How did they do it?

Participants were initially given easy tasks passing which they would have to move towards the tougher one cutting their skins with blade, killing the animals and uploading their videos etc. Most of their targets left at this stage because it got too weird to complete or participants could not collect courage. Those who passed this stage were considered the strongest and were referred to another close group consisting of 20-25 people. At this stage Philipp interacted with them personally and convinced them how much they value and how their parents are the care and attention they deserve, finally asking them to commit suicide.

  1. Why such a barbaric game was created?

Philipp and his aide can be called sick for creating such an insane and barbaric game. They called the victims “Biological Waste” as they were not able fight back the adversities of their lives and Philip and his team members were cleansing the society. In Philipp’s words “They were only a Biological Wastes, who do not represent any value to the society”, “I was cleaning the society” he said.

  1. Philipp Budeikin’s Past:

In his childhood Philip had not had friends at school and he barely saw his Mom as she was commuting too long to work. It was only in the night when she comes, prepares food for Philipp and for herself and left early in the morning at 5. “’So a person who never built any connection with anyone suddenly felt that he was in charge of other people’s wills and lives” Investigator Breido said.

  1. How it came into light in India?

Blue Whale game has claimed around 130 lives in Europe and Russia; however, Philipp in his confession never admitted the figure but said that he is responsible for around 16 lives only.

The first and newest incident took place in Mumbai, India where a young boy committed suicide by jumping off the building he was living in. Although, it is not yet confirmed whether it was a game which incited the boy to take extreme action but investigators say that this could be linked to the same as the boy’s behavior was changed for the last two weeks and he was searching for the ways of committing suicide on the internet for the last two days.

  1. Jump off a high building. Take your life.

  1. What is cure?

Well, it’s not that tough to save your child’s life. In fact it will never be tough. Parents should make sure to spend time with their, “always”. No matter what, do not let your children leave alone to find the answers. Support them emotionally, do trust them but keep your eyes open.

  1. Our Take

Nothing can be as precious as one’s life. Everyone is precious in their own way. It’s just that you have to find way to search happiness and content within you. Never allow anyone to control your emotions and manipulate you as per their wish, for their greed or frustration.

We, 10 Points, strongly condemn such act and those who are involved in such heinous crime and our deepest sympathy to the family of those souls who lost their lives.
